Glen Stockwell concludes that mobile phone technology is driving language learning out of the classroom and into the real world. Stockwell suggests students are going through an adjustment to mobile phone technology where they are making decisions about when and how to use the mobile platform for learning, in much the same way students did in the early days of computer assisted learning. He suggests that the teacher role is to keep up with technology and continue offering students technological ways (such as the items listed above) to use the mobile platform to enhance vocabulary learning.
